Frequently Asked Questions

As a New Patient to our dental practice, you will be asked to review and fill out several forms relevant to your health history, dental material safety and health privacy concerns. You will then be seated and have your blood pressure, pulse and necessary x-rays taken, followed by New Patient digital photographs of your teeth. The doctor will then come in and perform a Head and Neck Exam and a Comprehensive Dental Exam, detailing existing teeth, dental anatomy, present restorations, and any recommended dental treatment. This is the time where you will also express any concerns, goals or chief complaints you may have. We are not only here to diagnose treatment, but to also hear you out and understand what your dental expectations are before we proceed with any treatment recommendations. The next step of action will be getting a dental cleaning with full mouth periodontal charting, if no dental emergency is reported. It is crucial to establish healthy gums in order to build a strong foundation for dental treatment like fillings and other restorative work.

As a New Patient to our dental practice, you will be asked to review and fill out several forms relevant to your health history, dental material safety, and privacy concerns. You will be then be seated and a digital x-ray will be taken of the tooth or area that is of discomfort or of concern. The doctor will review the x-ray and also perform a clinical exam to diagnose the problem. A treatment recommendation will be made, and sometimes, it will involve a referral to a Dental Specialist or an in-office, emergency palliative treatment that same day. We will do our best to make you comfortable and well-informed of your treatment options.

Payment is expected at the time of service. If payment cannot be made, we must reschedule your appointment to a more financially conducive time for you before any dental treatment can be performed. We only allow for a payment plan to be in place if the balance is paid off within 3 months and if the treatment is extensive. Unfortunately, patients who receive dental treatment but do not pay for those services rendered will be sent to a Collections Agency.

As of March 1, 2023, we are no longer in-network with Delta Dental insurance.  However, even if we are not in-network, we can still see you, but at a different amount of coverage.  Please call our office to inquire about your insurance plan.

We are in network with Aetna, GEHA, and United Concordia Elite, to name a few.
